What’s to come in 2025 for Tech
January 01, 2025
The reality of the tech industry has been harsh in 2023-2024. VC funding coming to a screeching halt, massive layoffs and the dread of uncertainty.
But I do believe 2025 will be the year we start seeing a comeback of innovation and growth.
Why? Because the last few months I’ve noticed a shift, leads and queries for services are on the rebound, I see companies hiring again and through conversations there is a general underlying sense of optimism.
We needed a reset
Easy access to VC money meant companies building products and teams for the heck of it. Because growth needed to be shown on a spreadsheet in order to access more money. A funding trap leading startups to scale before finding product-market fit.
The same companies opening up fake, 7-figure positions which only hurt the entire tech ecosystem.
Many of which companies shut down as soon as the money started coming in from their investors.
However, those bootstrapped, revenue-first driven startups are flourishing. Small, dedicated teams behind amazing products that solve real problems.
Most of these have survived our “Tech-recession”. Some even thriving even more.
What’s coming
I believe we will see more of these profitable, bootstrapped startups in 2025. Amazing teams, building great products that solve real world problems. At reasonable prices whether they are B2C or B2B.
Due to how lean these teams are, they can provide good pricing options, excellent salaries and benefits and have plenty of room for innovation.
AI will drive most of the innovation.
I’m not only referring to AI products but also AI-driven research, design and development.
I’ve seen it first hand, I can now build a product 5x faster with the help of AI. Imagine what a nimble, process-driven team can do.
Here’s to an amazing 2025 to all you makers out there. 🎉
