I've spent the last few weeks working on tini.bio 2.0. Cant deny I've had a lot of fun and also frustrating moments with this new release. But we're here and I can't be more excited.
There has been a lot of new visitors, signups and lots of new traffic since 2.0 was released. I'm in awe. (although I cant deny I've spent time on marketing), which I think is where I should spend most of my time now.
Here's the difference in traffic from 1.0 to when 2.0 was released:
But of course did this not come without consequences: as soon as bots caught up with the platform I started noticing a lot of spam signups, first a slow trickle then 100-200 by the hour.
So I quickly had to learn a lot about Cloudflare, bot fighting and the inner workings of the rack attach gem in rails.
We're mostly there, 95% of the signups now are real.
