2024 was a season to remember, filled with laughter, joy and abundance! We could not raise crucial funds without your support and unwavering dedication. Here is a look back to some 2024 milestones:

  • Surpassed our $445,000 goal and ended the year with $530,000+.
  • Welcomed 12,500 participants to Coney Island, that’s 2,500 more than 2023.
  • Provided resources / gifts to over 500 registered breast cancer survivors on walk day.
  • Host two Pink Ribbon Tying Events in collaboration with local community organizations and leaders to raise awareness in underrepresented neighborhoods.
  • Host two Pink (& Blue) Games with Brooklyn Cyclones (P/B) and Brooklyn Football Club (P), to help raise awareness and celebrate survivors.

We will be posting more information about volunteer for walk day as we get closer to walk day. Help raise breast cancer awareness in Brooklyn by becoming an Executive Ambassador today! Executive Ambassadors are an elite member of their community that can help raise breast cancer awareness by leveraging their personal and professional networks to connect more partners and sponsors with Making Strides of Brooklyn. To learn more about the Executive Ambassador program simply reply to this email! You can also click on our linktree to follow us on social media, where we post team and participant shoutouts, fundraising challenges, and community events in Brooklyn. Want to be part of making change? Join VOICES of Black Women. The VOICES of Black Women is a study led by the American Cancer Society. The focus of this study is to better understand cancer and other health conditions among Black women. Participation in VOICES involves completing an online health and life history survey at enrollment and updating information twice a year. Results from this study will help inform how to improve the health of Black women for generations to come. Click on the image below to get involved.
