People Power
Great schools are as important to a community as clean water, places of worship, safe streets, and good health care. They provide places to connect, opportunities to learn, and are the formative experience for every citizen.
What makes a school not just a building, but a hub, are the people in it - teachers, students, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
Telling the stories that make schools great on a predictable schedule is an important aspect of community engagement.
To achieve this, I created two scheduled newsletters, Inside Curve and Learning Curve, to showcase the district, its people, and programs, to internal and external stakeholders.
For this project, I commissioned the template designs based on the new brand, built and managed the distribution lists, selected the e-mail program, conducted interviews, wrote the articles, took the photos, executed distribution, and monitored results.
Here are a couple of samples:
This tool was also used to communicate on single issues and outreach at various times of the year, including messages from the Superintendent and Board Chair.
As I did here.
