That was me. I have worked in the speech recognition industry for several years. Few people are aware that whenever you interact with a smart speaker or virtual assistant, any time something goes wrong, your voice data is sent to actual, human engineers for analysis.

This is not bad, in fact it's a necessary part of ensuring the products work. The issue I took was how few people seemed to know about this practice in general.
